Naperville Presbyterian Church (NPC) was founded in June
1984 as a result of a national vision for beginning new churches in
cities throughout North America. Our founding pastor, Mike Marcey, came
to Naperville with a goal to plant a vibrant, dynamic church that would
be the "mother church" for new churches throughout the Chicagoland area.
Naperville Presbyterian has planted seven churches, five of them in the
Chicagoland area.
Our Vision Statement, to infect all people with joy in God's glory
and passion to become like Him, captures our past and
present desire to be a creative, dynamic and growing church serving as a
resource church for many ministries while sharing God’s love with the
community.
Over our first two decades God has brought together
a remarkable group of people with a similar vision for ministry and a
shared dream of being part of a unique and powerful work of God in
this area of Chicago. From our beginning, we have had a clear sense of
vision and approach to ministry that is lived out through application of
our Vision Statement,
Mission Priorities and Core
Values.
Our
church is about basics and returning to the basics, often. We talk about
preaching the Gospel to ourselves each day. We worship God every Sunday,
and the Gospel is preached according to God’s word. We continually
search for ways to build community in this busy culture. We value
children and youth and want to see them grow in the Lord. We praise God
for the incredible group of leaders. Come and see that Jesus Christ is
indeed relevant to all aspects of life, and has real answers for us.
