Parents Get Involved in Children's Ministries

How Can I Get Involved?

At Naperville Presbyterian Church, children are important to us and we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for them. We are always looking for teens and adults who would enjoy serving the Lord by ministering to children. There are many ways you can get involved.

  • Assist in the nurseries by caring, holding and playing with our infants and toddlers.
  • Teach and help in the classroom for preschoolers, younger elementary and older elementary children.
  • Help behind the scenes in the Teacher’s Resource Room, Children’s Ministries office, create or decorate classroom bulletin boards, host training events, and various other tasks.
  • In addition to Sunday mornings, people are needed to assist in Kid's Club (Thursday mornings), Children’s Choir, Summer Ministries including Summer Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and other special events.

We also need to have those in our congregation pray for our children on a regular basis. To find out how you can get involved in this vital ministry, please contact the Children’s Ministries office.

If you are interested in participating in Children’s Ministries on a regular basis, please contact the Children's Ministries office at 630-961-0579 for an application and to schedule a time to meet with the Ministry Directors.

Parent Helpers

We ask parents who are regular attendees or members of Naperville Presbyterian Church to participate as parent helpers twice a quarter. This is a crucial part of our partnership with parents as we both work towards the spiritual nurturing of our children. By participating as a helper, parents get a hands-on look at what their child is learning as well as how they are responding to spiritual truths and promises.

Contact Mimi Larson, Director of Children's Ministries, at 630-961-0579 with questions you may have about getting involved with NPC Children's Ministry.
