Does my child move up to the next class when he has a birthday?
No, when the new year begins children Kindergarten through 4th grade move up to the next level. Pre-elementary children must turn 2, 3, or 4 by September
1st to more to the next age level. A 5 year old who is not attending Kindergarten should attend the pre-school
Four's and Five's class. Regarding our nurseries, it is up to the parent to decide when to move a child based on these guidelines: Infants move to Walkers when they are walking steadily. Walkers move to Skippers when they are 18 months old.
Is there a place to nurse my baby?
Yes, the nursing mother's room is located between the Newborn and Crawlers nurseries. You can nurse in the privacy of this room, and when finished can easily return your baby to our infant care givers.
If my child is very upset, will you come get me?
If you child is upset, we will try to distract, play with or comfort
him or her. If your child continues to have a difficult time, we will either page you or come and get you. If you suspect we might need to find you, please let a childcare worker know where you will be sitting. Unless you instruct us otherwise, we usually page parents after 10 minutes.
Does the children's area allow snacks with peanuts?
We ask that NO peanut and nut products come into the building due to the frequency of allergies among children. For a quick reference list, these products DO contain peanuts: cheese flavored Ritz Bits, President’s Choice Vanilla wafers, Granola Bars, Girl Scout Cookies, all Asian foods, all M&M
and Mars candy bars, most Hershey candy.
