Dinner 6 at NPC
Ever wish you could spend
some time getting to know NPC friends better?
Wonder if maybe God wants you to help welcome some newcomers to NPC?
Want to have an actual conversation with those friendly acquaintances
you see on Sunday mornings?
How does it work?
- It’s a relaxed, pleasant way to get to know other friendly NPC people. You’ll be set up in groups of 6 people, couples and singles, for a 3-month cycle. People take turns hosting a monthly dinner for the others.
- The purpose is getting to know people, not impressing them with your culinary expertise, so make it hospitable, but manageable. The evening’s entertainment will be free, fun, and interesting: getting to know other people!
- Sign up here.
- You will be contacted with the names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the other people in your Dinner 6 group. We will try to avoid grouping you with people you already know well.
- The rest of the organizational details will be up to you. Depending on what your group chooses, the hosts can choose to provide the entire meal, or let the other members contribute to the meal. You can also agree as a group to meet at a restaurant, although we recommend homes; you learn more about people that way.
Why is NPC offering this now?
- Because many long-term friendships at NPC begin at those dinners, and it brings us closer together as a church body.
- Because with NPC’s growth, there are LOTS of FASCINATING new people to get to know.
- Because God will use it to advance His Kingdom in more ways than we can imagine.
How and when will this occur?
- We are planning three Dinner 6 cycles each year: January-February-March, April-May-June, and September-October-November.
- The target months are just that. If your schedule requires adjustments, so be it.
- After a 3-month cycle with your Dinner 6 group, you can sign up again for a new cycle with new people.
