Honduras 2015 Update 1

Dear Friends, What a blessed trip it has been so far.  We arrived safely with all our luggage and had the privilege to attend a ballet performance tonight that Abi Clow participated in.  An appropriate verse for today is:

Ephesians 3:19 -20 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.  Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.

I have forgotten how scary the ride from San Pedro Sula to La Ceiba is with the “Tourismo” bus.  This time it was a minivan, because it is only the four Vissers that make up the short term team for the week.  We had at least 5 rainstorms that we went through and with the single lane road it is passing trucks, busses, bicycles, motorcycles, 3 wheel mototaxis, that makes it a fun 3 hour ride.

The ballet performance started with a prayer and the first group performed on a worship song.  The second group was girls from an orphanage that get free ballet lessons from the teacher.  She uses the ballet school as her ministry.  The dresses were beautiful and it was an impressive production with wonderful music.

Praise God for a safe trip and the privilege to see our missionary friends again.

Only a few pictures this time.  One of the countryside that we drove through, the traffic and one of John, Abi, Becca and Kathy Clow.

Tomorrow we have English church in the morning, a tour of La Ceiba and Spanish church in the afternoon.

Blessings,

Joubert
