Honduras Update 2

Dear friends, So many words from the Lord today.  It is raining as I write this update, and it started raining a few minutes after  we came out of the Spanish church service around 5 pm Mountain time.

We love Him, because He first loved us.  1 John 4:19

Elizabeth cried as we worshipped God in a different language with our brothers and sisters in Christ.  The pastor Fredi Mejia, of the Iglesia Gran Comision (Church of the Great Commission) had a wonderful message of salvation and illustrated with 3 glasses, us, sin and Jesus.  Sin was black and turned us black as well.  He demonstrated that through Jesus we can be cleared of sin.  Then he used Matthew 28:18-20 to show the congregation that we need to go and spread the good news of the Gospel, because it doesn’t help our neighbor if we love him/her and they go to hell, because they didn’t hear the Gospel.

Tomorrow we will work on the church roof for the whole day.  Elizabeth will be working with us and the boys will be learning how to weld, by welding cross bars to the roof rafters.  We will be doing some work to the parsonage as well.

Things to pray for:

  • Safety on the roof and with the construction tasks.
  • Continued good health
  • Continued good relations with each other and with the missionary families

Praise God for the rest we had this afternoon after lunch.  It was much needed because the rooster next door woke us at around 3:30am and continued until the sun was up.

Praise God for the wonderful times of worship today and the time spent with the missionary families.
