Naperville Presbyterian Church has many opportunities to serve.
Listed below are some of our current needs.
Service is the pathway to real significance. It is through ministry
that we discover the meaning of our lives. Each of us finds our meaning
and function as a part of Christ's body. Romans 12:5 The Message
- Banner Design and Construction: We need people with
creative ideas, artistic vision and sewing skills to help out with
banner design and construction and to help enhance our worship spaces through the visual arts. We do this up to
four times a year and you can help out as often as you like. Contact

- Baptism Banners:
Create the lovely banners that
are hung in the Worship Center on Covenant Sundays to honor the children
being baptized. Work with families to create unique
designs, or use pre-made patterns. Call the church office for more information at

- Carpenter's Tools:
We are looking for individuals
who are skilled with their hands and work well with tools, people with
Mr. Fix It written in their blood. We want to pair adults who have
abilities with people who have needs, and also with youth who could use
some skill building. This is an ongoing ministry, but you will only
work as your schedule allowed, and as needs arise. Contact

- Baristas Needed: to help at our Coffee Bar. All
training is provided. Learn to make your favorite
drinks. Call Mary Henderlite to learn more or contact the
church office.
- Coffee Bar Teams:
We are looking for additions
to the coffee bar teams for Sunday mornings. No experience is needed.
For the upstairs coffee bar we will teach you to make lattes, or you can
collect money and distribute bottled drinks. At the lower level you
will brew coffee and clean up at the end of the morning. These are
recurring commitments that can fit your schedule. Interested? Contact

- Children's Ministries is looking for Sunday School
teachers for the 2007-2008 school year. Contact Mimi
for information or to volunteer.
- College Ministry: Interested in leading a college aged
small group or helping college students in the area get rides to
and from church on Sunday morning? Please contact Brian
Dennert.
- Computer Skills: High School student needed to convert 8 mm and
Digital tape media to DVD for the HSM. Time can be applied
toward Community Service hours requirement. Contact Tracey
Bouton.
- Families or Individuals are needed who can sponsor
students for trips. Sometimes we have students who would
like to attend, but cannot afford trips, retreats, etc. If
you can donate scholarship for students, please call the Student
Ministries office at 961-0579 and talk with Tracey or Jonathan.
- Greeters: are needed at both the 8:45 and 10:30
services. A minimal amount of time at the front doors will
insure that visitors to NPC have a positive experience and a
friendly hello. No experience is required. Contact

- High School and Middle School Volunteers: Develop relationships with students on a regular basis.
College age and up are welcome to join the team of individuals who
are investing in the lives of students. Teaching and
non-teaching positions are available. contact

- Hospital Visitation Team: Our Team offers
in-hospital visits to those who call Naperville Presbyterian Church their home.
Volunteers need only willingness, time and transportation.
Volunteers will be asked to make a visit, as needed and as
available, from a list of team members on a rotational basis. For more information, or to volunteer contact

- Hospitality Team: If you enjoy preparing and
serving meals for events, then Please give this team a try! The Hospitality
Team helps out for
special events, conferences, celebrations, and meetings. The actual
service time is about 2-3 hours per event. Contact

- Host Home: If you have a gift of
hospitality and are willing to share your home occasionally with
visiting pastors, contact

- Information Table: If you like meeting people
sharing information, and would enjoy helping people find their way
around the church, then consider volunteering to work at the Information Table
on Sunday Mornings. People serve on a rotating basis, about once every
month or two for about 20 minutes after one of the services. Contact

- Kid's Club Co-teacher: Do you have a heart for
children' Kid's Club is a ministry for the children of women
attending Thursday Morning Bible Study at Naperville Presbyterian Church. The children hear a
Bible story, go to music, do a craft and have a snack. Co-teacher
responsibilities include preparing for the weekly lesson and craft
preparation. We have an opening in the 4 year old classroom. We also need
volunteers to care for toddlers, play with them and share a story.

- Kingdom Building Prayer: This team prays together for the
ministry of NPC and other specific needs outside our church.
We meet each Sunday morning at 8 a.m. in Room 046. Contact Suzanne

- Kitchen Team: Join this team of folks who provide TLC to
our kitchen once a month on a rotational basis. If you are
into cleaning and reorganizing, this is the job for you.

- Library/Bookstore: Help is needed to process
books, CD's and tapes. This includes protective binding, data entry,
and re-shelving books. Amount of time spent would vary by week. Contact

- New Baby Ministry Coordinator: This person will
coordinate recruits and match volunteers with families who are expecting
either by birth or adoption. This ongoing commitment will be
good for a person with a heart for prayer and and for babies and
their Naperville
Presbyterian Church families. If interested email

- New Baby Ministry Volunteers: This ministry
matches a volunteer with a family who is expecting a child by adoption
or birth. The team is looking for a few more members to be
prayer partners. Requirements are: an understanding of the
stresses of new parents, a heart willing to reach out to others, a
desire to pray for God's working in the life of a family with a
new baby. Time commitment involved: a few phone calls, a few moments
of friendly conversation when you see them in church services, and
prayer on a consistent basis for their needs over the first 4 to 6
months of their baby's life. If God is leading you to join

- Notes and Prayer Ministry: Volunteers pray for
and send cards of sympathy to those in our church family who are
experiencing a disappointment, problem or sadness. Volunteers must be
able to pray, send notes, and work in a small prayer team.

- Nursery Care Givers: Do you need a therapeutic
baby fix now and then? We are looking for men and women who are willing
to lend a hand in our nurseries (birth to 24 months) once or twice a
quarter. No preparation or training is needed, just a willing heart and
hands to care for our youngest NPC'ers. This is a great ministry for
empty nesters and grandparents. Contact

- Nursery Greeters: Responsibilities include welcoming
parents, checking in children before services along with checking
out after services, setting and dispensing pagers, working and
communicating with nursery staff. You will volunteer Sunday
mornings, once a month, greeting before and after one service.

- Power Point Team: Each Worship Service someone volunteers
time and talents to run the power point slides. This is a
very easy, but necessary job. Would you consider helping on

- Receptionists: Learn to use the NPC phone system to
answer and transfer calls mid day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at
NPC. Training provided. Interested? Contact Faith

- Reporters: Interested in going to events
or interviewing people to write short news reports and take photos' We need individuals (digital camera a bonus, but not required) to attend
Naperville Presbyterian Church events, take pictures and document the events. Contact

- Sonshine Team Coordinator: Naperville Presbyterian
Church is hoping to have a small team to share in coordinating the
Sonshine Team. You will need to be able to make and receive
phone calls to coordinate meals between families and volunteers,
and to follow-up with families. This is an ongoing

- Sonshine Team Volunteer: Sonshine Team is an established
team at Naperville Presbyterian Church. We need team members who enjoys helping families during
stressful times by providing prayer and a meal. Volunteers are usually
called on to provide a meal about three times a year. Contact Jackie

volunteer.
- Sound Technicians: We need four to six people who are
available on Sunday mornings and are willing to learn to use the sound board. Contact

- Summer Sports Camps 2007: There are many
areas in which to serve before, during, and after this event. It is
very likely that your skills will match our needs. This is a great
short term opportunity. Call

- Sunday Morning Ushers: Volunteers are needed to
serve on a rotating basis. Volunteer for one service and work three
weeks in a row, then have nine weeks off. Ushering responsibilities
include greeting attendees, handing out the NPC Weekly and collecting
the offering. Ushers may sit with their families during the service. Contact

- Sunday School Substitute Teachers: The only
requirement for this position is a willingness to serve on an as
needed basis in classes from two year olds to 5th grade. No
preparation necessary. Contact the

- Technology Team: Naperville Presbyterian Church is looking for people who
have a few hours per month in their schedule to fix problems with
office PCs and other equipment. Contact

- Willing Older Women (W.O.W.): Volunteers are needed for
this new ministry. Needed are mature women willing to invest time,
energy, resources and love in the younger women of our church. A willing heart and helpful hands are all that you need. If
you volunteer, you will be called as needs arise. You can
decide at that time to accept or decline the request. Contact

- World Outreach Team Members: If you have a heart
for the world, a heart that beats with seeing the good news of Jesus
taken into the world, the World Outreach Team would love for you to join
us. No prior experience necessary! We meet on the second Sunday of
