Do you have a heart for the worship of God? Do you have musical gifts and talents vocally and/or instrumentally? Then perhaps serving on the worship team at Naperville Presbyterian Church is for you.
We're looking first and foremost for individuals who have a heart for Jesus, a love for the Father and a longing to be transformed and used by the Spirit. Leading worship is not about performing but about serving, loving and giving glory to God.
Secondly, serving on this musical arts teams requires a minimum technical ability and proficiency on your instrument, including the voice, so as to be able to lead effectively. But we're not looking for professionals. We're all about worship to the Glory of God for us and by us.
Finally, people on the worship team need to have the faithfulness, availability and teachability to make it work in the context of life. Worship Team members typically serve once a month or so which includes a 2½ hour rehearsal prior to Sunday and then of course the worship ministry on Sunday.
