Volunteer Opportunities
One of the best ways to get to know people -- whether it's in your neighborhood, in your schools or here at NPC -- is to work together. God gifts us all differently to do Kingdom work. There's a task to fit everyone. Check this page often. It changes as often as the seasons. We have opportunities both within NPC's ministries (below) and also at ministries associated with, but outside of NPC (see links above).

Bakers: We are pleased to occasionally have hand-made
treats for various church events. Call Suzanne at the church.
Baptism Banners: Work with a team to help create the
banners we use to honor our Covenant Children.
Baristas: Work at our coffee bar on Sunday Mornings
between services. Training provided!
Bass Guitar Players: The Worship Team needs you.

Carpenter's Tools: Are you a "Mr. Fix-It"? We sometimes have folks who need your skills. Carpenter's Tools work closely with our Deacons. Work only as your schedule permits. Contact Paul to either volunteer, or if you need help.

Drama/Puppet Leader: The BLAST! team needs an adult with interest/experience leading children in drama and puppet skits for Sunday morning. Rehearsals are Thursday afternoons. Call Jan for more information.

Graphic Artists: Would you like to help design
brochures and other publicatioins? Call the church!
Greeters: Offer a friendly "Hello" to people as they arrive for
Worship. No experience is necessary.

Hospitality: Have fun in the kitchen preparing our
Pasta with the Pastor lunches or for other events. The usual time
commitment is between 2-3 hours per event. Contact Susanne to find
out more.
Hospital Visitation: Offer in-hospital visits to those
in our NPC community. Serve on a rotational basis as your time
allows. Transportation and time are all that is needed. Call
Susanne to learn more.

Kingdom Building Prayer: Pray together for the
ministries of NPC and specific needs for our missionaries and others.
Come to Room 046 any Sunday at 8:00 am to pray before the first service.
Kitchen Team: Spend about an hour a week for 2 months
out of the year cleaning in our NPC kitchen.
You can sign up with a friend or meet one on the job!

Middle School Ministry: MSM is in need of Small Group Leaders for Middle Schoolers, especially girls. Serve either Sunday morning in Sunday School or in the evening for Youth Group. Contact Jonathan for more information.

New Baby Ministry Coordinator: Match volunteers with
families who are "expecting". This is a good job for a person with
a real heart for prayer and for NPC families. *Email: baby
New Baby Ministry Volunteers: Get teamed up with a
family who is "expecting". Pray for that family, visit with them
before and after the delivery and provide support. *Email: baby
Notes and Calls: Serve from your home at your own pace.
Help us extend our warm welcome to newcomers via a phone call and/or
note. Guidelines, names and stationary will be provided.
Notes and Prayers: Write notes to those going through
tough times, changes or major events in their lives from your own home
and then pray for these people. Cards and contacts will be
furnished; you provide the prayer.

Power Point: Every worship service needs someone to run Power Point. This isn't hard and you'll be trained well. Be part of a rotating team to serve at one of the services a couple times a month. Call the church office.
Q
Quilters: The NPC Quilters get together at church on the first Tuesday of every month during the school year to work on their projects, share devotions and patterns. They are working right now on quilts for an orphanage in India.

Receptionist: Help fill in at the office during meetings or staff vacation times by answering the phone and transferring calls.
S
Singers: Our Worship Choir needs your voice!
You do not need to be American Idol quality, just be able to
carry a tune and love the Lord. The Choir practices on Thursday
evenings. Just come on in.
Sonshine Team Coordinator: Join a team which coordinates meals
for families which need help due to illness, surgery, childbirth,
or crisis. Most of
this is done via phone and email.
Sonshine Team Volunteer: Occasionally make
and take a meal to share with someone in need -- as coordinated above.
Sound Technicians: Would you be willing to learn to use
our sound board and help out during services and special events? Contact
Keith at the church. Training is provided.
Sponsors: Are
you in the position of being able to donate scholarships to help youth
attend events that they would not be able to without help? Call
the church and we can tell you how.
Sports Ministry: NPC has a sports ministry called Momentum!
If you would like to help out at events, organize activities or lead
devotions for events, *Email: sports
Sunday Morning Substitutes: Are you willing to help
fill in with Sunday School or BLAST! occasionally when teachers are sick
or away? This is an "as needed" position that you could take as
your schedule permits. No preparation needed.

Ushers: Ushers work on a rotating schedule with 3 weeks on and 9 weeks off. You greet people at the service you normally attend, distribute bulletins, help with the offering -- and you still get to sit with your family for most of the service.

Video Ministry: If you are comfortable filming,
editing, directing or would like to learning any of these to help us in
the video ministry, please call the church office and volunteer your
time.
Visiting Pastor Host: From time to time we need host
families for visiting pastors or missionaries for an evening or two.

Welcome Team: If meeting, greeting and helping new
folks is your joy, become part of this Sunday morning team and greet on
a rotational basis.
World Outreach: Have a heart for missions? This
is the place for you. *Email: woutreach for meeting dates.
Worship Team Members: Vocalist and instrumentalists who
have a passion for God and enjoy extending His glory are needed to help
lead in worship. Call Keith at the church office.
WOW (Willing Older Women): Women who are able to help
out some of the younger mothers in the church make up this group.
If you can run errands, organize, provide childcare, etc., your name can
be added to the email list and when opportunities arise, you can decide
if it is something you can help fill.

Youth Choirs: Here is one especially for the youngsters from 5-18 years old. Bring your voice and come learn to lead worship and sing to the Lord. Youth Choirs meet on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-5:30. Come give it a try!
