Caring for an Aging Parent

Faithfully caring for an aging parent as their health declines, memory fails, and capacities diminish will cultivate our cheerfulness, wrangle our selfishness, and deepen our dependency upon Christ. It is a unique opportunity to glorify God by honoring and helping those who have devoted much of their lives to caring for us.
In this seminar we’ll consider biblical and practical principles, as well as encourage one another by hearing and sharing our experiences of caring for an aging parent.
Our leader for this seminar will be Rev. Byron Peters, pastor of Christ Community Church (PCA) in Chapel Hill, NC. Byron is married to Ruby Bea and has four grown children. He is the author of a New Growth Press mini-book Caring for an Aging Parent which grew out of his experience of helping to care for his mother through her 15-years of Alzheimer's. Byron volunteers with the PCA-CDM Older Adult Ministries team.
