Naperville Presbyterian Church offers free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various levels on Tuesday nights from September through April, in two semesters. New students are welcome to join in at any time during the semester.

Students are asked to purchase a textbook, but scholarships are available for those in need.

Multiple Levels of Learning English

Students who are new to the program are interviewed and placed in the appropriate class levels.

The beginner class is for those who speak no English or little English (100 words or less).

The intermediate class is for those who know just enough English to get by.

The advanced class is for those who want to improve their pronunciation and accent to feel more comfortable conversing at work, school, or in the community.

New students will be contacted about a placement interview to be conducted online. Students are asked to purchase their own set of textbooks for $35.
